For the past three years, the most meaningful change to the iPhone has been the size of its screen. After years of sticking with a 3.5-inch display and watching Android-powered competitors bite off a piece of the market with ever-larger screens, Apple relented ever-so-slightly with the 4-inch iPhone 5 and 5S, and then finally gave in to obvious trends with the much larger 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and massive 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus.
Microsoft's Cortana is now available in beta form on Android, but next year the digital assistant will come pre-installed and "deeply integrated" on the next version of Cyanogen OS. Cyanogen OS, which is different from the wonderfully nerdy, community-driven CyanogenMod, is the forked-off version of Google's OS that comes included on phones from Wileyfox, Zuk, Yu, and Smartfren.
The company announced Tuesday it would be changing its iconic logo to one that "that reflects this reality and shows you when the Google magic is working for you, even on the tiniest screens," according to a statement.

Apple is widely expected to bring Force Touch to the next iPhone, and now we're getting some idea of how it might work. According to 9to5Mac, Force Touch will be used as a way to access shortcuts, pull up menus, and activate new functions. If that sounds kind of confusing, well, it is — for now, at least.
